High Quality

Drilltech have experienced ZERO drill pipe failures in over 23 years of supply to the global market. The reasons for such a consistently high and impressive level of performance is two fold.

Firstly, all manufacture and subsequent maintenance of drill pipe is in strict accordance with Oil & Gas Industry highest standards. This is deemed as NS-1 and NS-2 Standard. Fearnley Proctor Group, an industry leader in quality assurance, determine and regularly update both standards. However, to ensure our drill pipe package meets your exact requirement, we can arrange to inspect to another nominated standard, if required.

Secondly, only carefully selected third-party vendors manufacture, inspect and repair our rental drill pipe. All vendors are fully certified and regularly evaluated, to ensure Drilltech’s high expectations are continually met.

Inspection & Repair

The result of outsourcing all inspection and repair services is impartiality, fairness and a confidence that quality is never compromised due to time or cost.

Drilltech nor any of our inspection vendors own a machine shop, and therefore clients can be rest assured no item is ever rejected needlessly. Our inspection vendors realise the importance of reducing repair costs, and where possible, will always attempt to repair by hand. This is mutually beneficial for all. It not only reduces client cost, it also extends the lifespan of our equipment and hopefully, results in more inspection work for our vendors (through repeated rentals) due to fewer repair costs.

Ultimately repair during inspection may not be possible, and should this be the case, clients are always given the opportunity to review and verify the findings before any repair. Once authorised, equipment is immediately sent to a certified vendor for repair. If such repair is not possible, the item is immediately removed from stock.

Staff Performance

In addition to our high level of equipment performance, Drilltech staff performance is of a similar high standard. For instance, letters of commendation were received twice by a major client, praising the quick and efficient service our staff provided. This was a result of Drilltech mobilising a total of 17,242 joints (543,123 ft) of rental drill pipe, during a two year period. All joints were supplied within their own customised drill pipe package, and mobilised both on time and without injury or failure.
